WHEN A LITTLE CREATIVE HELP and A MAP IS ALL YOU NEED

This option was created to assist clients that have existing planting beds of limited size that need a little revamping.  Mind you, this an option for smaller areas. For example, the immediate area around your front entry, the planting beds directly surrounding your back patio, or for a new planting bed along the driveway.  Perfect if you want ideas for an upgrade that you might be doing yourself, before a future gathering or event.  

 

HOW IT HAPPENS

We begin with photos.  Sending me photos of the desired area from a few different angles will help me know what your design fee will be.  Once fee is established by me and 50% deposit is made, I make an initial on-site visit, either in-person to discuss the space.  I will analyze and measure the site.  Then I go to the drawing board and expertly position on a plan some fresh new ideas for plant materials that will fit and improve the site. Your computer-generated, to-scale plan is sent to you via email along with a handy plant list with recommended sizes and quantities for easy shopping. You can implement the design yourself or hire and installer to do so...up to you.  

 

THE DEETS

Bite-Size Planting Bed Design fees begins at $750 and the fee charged is dependent on location and size of area and scope of work.  50% of fee is due before scheduled initial design visit, balance is due prior to me sending the final, completed design to you.  During busy growing seasons, allow a few weeks to schedule.  Once we get rolling, the process has the potential for a fairly short turn-around.  I do value thoughtful quality in my work over quick turn arounds however.

I accept good-old-fashioned checks and bank-to-bank payments through Zelle or Venmo.

The design work I provide is "base forward," meaning that we have a mutually clear understanding of what has been discussed and the expected direction before I begin the actual design work.  Any changes made after this point will incur added design time based on my hourly fee.

CONSULTATION ONLY?  Do you just need to run some ideas past someone skilled in gardens and landscape potential?  This option does not include a drawing but bring a pad and pencil and I can do a simple walk-about with you onsite.  Discuss existing plant materials, what could stay or go....where a patio might be placed....how to make a landscape that is less maintenance?  I can share and talk for a few hours for $400 in the local Portland Metro area.
