Born and raised in the beautiful Pacfic Northwest,
Karla is a life long gardener and plant lover. Since 2000 she has put her design creativity to work in hundreds of gardens in both Oregon and Washington.
She works with her customers to find their own personal garden style and build a landscape from there.
Aside from gardening, Karla loves to repurpose things, to make and eat good food, perusing second hand shops and loving on her cat, Shortcakes.
She is also passionate about tutoring the next
generation of children with
dyslexia to read!

well thought-out custom design for your outdoor space...essential for the beginning of a successful project!
Upon completion you will receive a:

FAQ's
What does a design cost?
Providing a cost for designwork is a combination of not only doing some simple math, but also the consideration for the nuances of what is desired from the site and the existing site itself. These nuances are (and not limited to) size, complexity of design and location. Each job is unique.
My minimum fee for providing a design is $750.
What is a design consultation?
The design consultation is seperate from the design cost itself. It is for gathering and sharing information, for the possibility of working together on a future design or can be just a stand alone visit. If you are interested in working with me on a design after this meeting, I will be happy to provide you a written quote based on what you have shared with me.
We typically get aquainted by walking the property, talking about what it is that you want and need from the space. I am happy to answer any questions you might have regarding existing conditions and future ideas, generalized plant thoughts, possibilities, etc. It does not include any measuring of the site or sketching. Please take notes if you would like!
The average cost for this visit is $350 for up to 2 hours of time. If outside the Portland-Metro area, additional charges will be incurred for travel/time.
